KACCH aims to:-

ü     Provid a child-friendly environemt for children hospital.

ü     Provide supervised expressive play on paediatric wards o reduce stress and anxiety.

ü     Facilitate normal child development in hospital through the provision of age-appropriate play opportunities.

ü    Aid communication between hospital staff, children and parents.

ü     Encourage children’s co-operation with treatment procedures through play preparation.

ü     Encourage health-care workers to recognize the special needs of children in hospital.

ü    Encourage community awareness of issues relating to children’s health.

The Child Life specialists are supported by full-time Play Leaders and Play Assistants, employed and trained by KACCH, and by our Volunteers who join the team in their preferred hospital on morning per week.

KACCH is funded entirely by donations and needs your support to ensure all children in hospitals through out Kuwait benefit from our Child Life Programme. You can also help by volunteering to work on the wards with pour Play Leaders, by decorating areas in the hospitals or by donating suitable toys, furniture, furnishings and equipment.
