The Unit is recognised by Kuwait
institute for medical specialisation for postgraduate teaching and
training. For operational policy, please refer to operational policy
of paediatric haematology unit. Our haematology lab is well equipped
to provide routine and specialised investigations to make definitive
diagnosis of paediatric haematological disorders and childhood
leukaemias. Our central blood bank which is accredited to American
Association of blood bank makes sure the blood and blood products
used in Kuwait are very safe and of top quality. All therapeutic
agents for management of paediatric haematological disorders and
childhood leukaemias are freely available. Also specialised
evaluation by echocardiogram, unltrasonography, CT, MRI, MRA,
MRI-T2* and Transcranial doppler as well as paediatric specialist
consultations (Surgical, Cardiac, Pulmonary, Endocrine, ENT,
Ophthalmology, Renal, Orthopedic) are readily available.
