The nephrology clinic started in 1978 . It is run by one consultant
specialist
It covers aspects which includes all renal diseases including
peritoneal dialysis due to acute renal failure and congenital
anomalies of kidneys. It excludes chronic renal failure at end stage
of renal failure which needs chronic dialysis.
Age of patients are from birth up to 16 years.
The total number of patients seen per month is around 100.
The main clinic for different nephrological aspects is on Tuesday.
The clinic works as a team with nutrition specialists, social
workers , radiologists and pediatric urologist and pediatric
surgeons.
Facilities for investigations , diagnosis and treatment are
available in the clinic
The nephrology out patient is a part of pediatric department of
different specialties.
